You start a game with 4 lives. You will get an extra life for each 25000 points.
While playing in 2 players mode, when one of the players is dead and another one has more than 1 life, the dead player can steal a life and get back to action. Press 'main fire' button to steal a life.

Graphics modes description:
Game can work in 3 graphic modes:

1 -fullscreen - runs only in 640x480 resolution and allows to enable/disable smooth filter. This is most stable mode. But may work slow on Windows 8.
2 -windowed - window with fixed resolution. You can choose between 5 resolutions: 640480, 800600, 1024768, 1400x1050 and current desktop resolution. This mode also allows to enable/disable smooth filter.
3 -scaled window - you can stretch window with mouse to fit any resolution. You can't disable smooth filter in this mode. However some video cards use unfiltered graphics display in this mode.

You can change graphic mode in options or in 'graphics.ini' file.

Weapons and power-ups description:
1) Default gun [D]: 
'main fire' - line of bullets. Has high fire rate, but weak bullet power.
'alternate fire' - powerful plasma shot. Has two charge levels. Charging speed is very fast.
2) Machine-gun [M]:
'main fire' - upgraded version of default weapon. Has highest fire rate.
'alternate fire' - magnetic energy orbs surrounded by energy bullets. Number of these energy bullets depends on weapon charge level. Weapon has three charge levels: minimum level has 4 energy bullets, medium level has 6 energy bullets, maximum level has 8 energy bullets. Magnetic energy orb itself doesn't cause enemy damage. Charging speed is fast.
3) Flame gun [F]:
'main fire' - explosive fireballs. Explodes to 4 another fireballs when contacts with something.
'alternate fire' - more powerful explosive fireballs. Firepower depends on weapon charge level. Weapon has three charge levels: minimum level has low power fireball which explodes to 4 another fireballs when contacts with something; medium level has middle power fireball which explodes to 6 another fireballs when contacts with something; maximum level has high power fireball which explodes to 8 another fireballs when contacts with something. Charging speed is medium.
4) Spread gun [S]:
'main fire' - expanding wave of 5 bullets.
'alternate fire' - a volley of energy orbs flying on an expanding helix trajectory. Number of these energy orbs depends on how long you hold the button pressed. Charging speed is slow.
5) Laser gun [L]:
'main fire' - powerful laser beams. Beam length depends on how long you hold the button pressed.
'alternate fire' - two chains of energy orbs flying on a sine curve trajectory. Number of these energy orbs depends on how long you hold the button pressed. Charging speed is very slow.

6) Rapid fire [R]:
increases firing frequency and decreases weapons charging time.
7) Explosive [O]:
destroys all enemies and projectiles on the screen.
8) Bullet defensive armor [B]:
gives you a temporary invincibility.
